I am currently a contributor to a quite exciting project in the UK. Parking Matters,  a Liverpool-based consulting firm specialised on the parking industry, have created a platform that collects and provides parking related information (both, static and virtual-real-time) for on-street and off-street parking in Manchester, Liverpool and Salford. The project is run under the patronage of Manchester City Council, with funding from the DfT (department for transportation). It is based on an initiative to standardise parking data across the country, using a standards definition developed by the Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS).
